About Guitar Lessons London
Welcome to Guitar Lessons London. My name is Vic Jamieson and I am a guitar tutor based here in London. I have had a life long passion for music, coming from a family of musicians who always instilled the values of teaching. From an early age I have been passionate about guitars from listening to iconic bands throughout the ages. As my ability on the guitar grew, so did my thirst for learning new genres and experimenting with different styles of guitar playing.
As my ambition to be a musician was clear, I attended university and obtained a music degree. Playing in multiple bands and achieving my musical grades has enhanced my playing and allowed me to create a unique and detailed teaching style, mixing real word performance experience with theoretical knowledge. Having been a career musician for over a decade and continuing to perform professionally, I have a huge variety of knowledge to share with my students.
My name is Joe Perkins and I am a professional guitar tutor and also based here in London. I am a professional guitar teacher and performer whose interests are predominantly based in jazz, specifically the music of Django Reinhardt. I am a regular performer at Ronnie Scott’s and often work as a recording/session artist for rock/pop ensembles and musical theatre. I have composed for an internationally acclaimed feature film and worked as a studio engineer for Brains & Hunch. I have previously taught classroom music at Barrow Hill Junior School, Royal Borough of Greenwich Music Hub and lectured at City University of London. I have a BMus (hons) degree and M.A. in music from City University of London and a Jazz Diploma from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
